The Apple Cause.

The Apple Cause is a community-based, membership-based, not-for-profit organisation in Northamptonshire, dedicated to understanding the history and present state of the midland counties orchards and, just as importantly, conserving community orchards as a declining resource, both for humans as a green space and a source for good local foods, and for the wildlife that they shelter.

So we

  1. Work to conserve “lost”, rare and local varieties of fruit trees.
  2. Run orchard events for our members and others
  3. Put on training courses on grafting, planting and pruning top fruit trees
  4. Invite those who believe with us that orchards are important to join us.
