Looking Forward

SCE looks forward for the New Year to some of the following. We hope you find them as exciting / interesting as we do and that you will choose to join in with us.

Return to the page top

A  The final development push at Glebeland Fields in Kings Heath. We have a whole field of allotment plots to knock into shape (carefully and thoughtfully though) and to invite local people and SCE members to join on in.

B   The coming into being of Abington Meadows Nature Reserve.

C   The development of an enlargement of Wilsons ' Orchard.

D   The continued development of the bee-group which is provoking a great deal of interest already. Group Bee is about Honey-bees, Bumblebees and other bees. There's lots to learn and lots to do. Early next year we will be making Bumblebees nests and Honey-bee hive equipment.

E   We rather expect to be hosting a wedding on one of out sites next year!

F   SCE continues its work in supporting traditionally-managed orchards and our group The Apple Cause is devoted to this end and to the support of all who have fruit trees and want to produce their own ‘5-a-day'.

Do join us.

SCE's organic, wildlife and permaculture gardens, orchards and wildlife sites, in Northampton and beyond, need your help. The Apple Cause needs help from anyone who knows of orchards. (Think of an orchard being 6 or more fruit trees together.) Could this be YOU or someone you know? And who wants to make jams, chutneys & juices? And Long Park , near Moulton Leys, specially needs more friends. You live near? - Please get in touch. And if you need help with your site: Again, do get in touch. And why not join our Group Bee ?

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE

Unless otherwise stated.

If you have any comments about our website or have been to any of our events and have pictures that you would like to share with us and our members then please email them to Steve.

available events from October '09 to February 2010 as a pdf download
