“Water Works”

Mon 1st Sept, Child First 3-6.30pm
Mon 8th Sept, Well Yard 3-6.30pm
Mon 29th Sept, Glebeland Fields 3-6.30pm

What’s water for?

  • 75% of our own bodies?
  • Growing plants with?
  • Swimming in?
  • Flushing?

So what’s a water-meadow?

How are we to manage our water for our houses, our gardens and our wildlife?
All (perhaps just nearly all) will be revealed, and we’ll set up a water-feature too at each place.

Sept Gayton Dog Show Date TBC Please ask!

All Fools Day
Fri 12th Sept, Abington Lodge Barn 5-7pm
Thurs 18th Sept, Child First 1-3pm

The wrong month – if you think it should be in April -
or have we got the wrong fools? Yes. We mean Fruit
Fools, organic fruit fools with or without organic
cream - and maybe a smidgeon of light brown sugar
or herbs perhaps? Be part of the event by creating
your own recipes and then voting for the best. Bring
along your own fruit to share if you wish.

Launch of Organic & Local Fruit & Veg Box Scheme

Fri 26th Sept , Abington Lodge 2-4pm

Growing organic vegetables is one of SCE’s skills so
it seems only natural that we get involved with Leaf
Cycles and with their support and encouragement
develop accessability to local & organic produce. To
find out more drop in to one of these events.

Fri 26th Sept , Abington Lodge 2-4pm
Thurs 2nd Oct, Child First 2-4pm
Sun 12th Oct, Wilsons’ Orchard 2-5pm

SCE's organic, permaculture gardens/allotments and wildlife sites throughout Northampton and beyond, need your help.

The Apple Cause needs help from jam, chutney & juice-makers, poster designers, party-organisers and anyone who knows of orchards. Could this be YOU or someone you know?
